The City of Albuquerque’s Department of Arts & Culture and TourABQ recently launched the Route 66 Remixed Tour, a fresh perspective on Albuquerque's stretch of the Mother Road inspired by the 19-installation multimedia art project. The trolley tour highlights historic landmarks, vintage neon and public art experiences, blending Route 66 nostalgia with modern creativity.

Heritage Inspirations has also introduced a new Route 66 Albuquerque Architecture & History Tour, offering travelers an immersive way to uncover the stories behind Albuquerque's historic stretch of Route 66 while exploring the distinctive architecture, vibrant murals, iconic neon signs and preserved landmarks that bring the Mother Road's history to life.

IITA Steps to Success Training at Visit Albuquerque

In April, Visit Albuquerque partnered with the New Mexico Tourism Department, the International Inbound Travel Association, and Alon Tourism Solutions to host the IITA Steps to Success Training Program in Albuquerque. Trainings were also held in Santa Fe and Las Cruces, equipping tourism partners across the state with the knowledge and tools to better engage with the travel trade industry.

The training helps tourism businesses better understand the travel trade distribution system and develop products that are more accessible and market-ready for tour operators, wholesalers, receptive operators and travel advisors.
